I wads incredibly moved by the album, I think it is a musical breakthrough for The Decemberists, the layered guitars, the inc reased rock elements, all breathtakingly beautifu. I know, it's all subjective, but the way the band have developed their recorded sound does put me in mind of Brian Wilson's breakthrough.

Really, their Pet Sounds? Hm, I hope Hazards of Love lives up to it, especially as, like Monsieur Derhay, I greatly enjoyed The Rake Song. I can't wait for the 24th!
