I have the alcohol tolerance of a 7 year-old, but if I were to drink I would go to the Burgundy Room, on Cahuenga, south of Hollywood. It's a punk rock place, but it's the best of what's over in that area. There is also The Well, which I think is on Sunset near Gower. Also, the Vanguard which is where Lindsay lohan hangs out it's sooooo hot.
I don't really go to local places, I just live here because it's convenient. There's a place called the Echo in Echo Park, and also Music Plus TV, which is musicplustv.com. They do $10 open bar friday nights and they're by the 101 and Alvarado. The other option is open bar art shows, yay, usually red stripe. I don't know of any that are coming up yet. I feel like I'm leaving something out, I'll report back with a new novel later, have fun at school/amoeba.
