Several years ago, some friends (some dirty, freaky, skanky friends) were discussing their favorite strippers, and the music the dancer performed to. (lots of fans of "SHOWGIRLS" in this crowd, highbrow all the way). There was a great variety of perspectives including gay, male/female and straight male/female, and it was pretty much unanimous, that rarely is it appropriate for males to be doing the stripping. Its a ladies sport guys, they are way hotter.
I decided to put forward this question to a few more of my freaky peoples. Wouldn't you know it, a mix was born. The result here before you is what you might expect from alot of canadian white trash, coming of age in the 80's. I've tried to remember the details of each contribution, in alot of cases failing miserably.
This mix has been extended with an open invitation to contribute your own favorite "striptease" song to a globally shared playlist called "music to strip to". Now in the days of streaming audio, the mixtape is a completely new concept. available to listen to via last.fm.

As well as my friends more unusual tastes and experiences, there are some classics. Including tracks that have been in captured in film, such as classics, Striptease, Showgirls, 9 1/2 weeks, Beverly hills cop.

multifaceted origins including; outerspace, the moon and introspective thought in a world of outward appearances. Is the vacuum of outer space the same as a mirror for self reflection?
theres an aspect of any mix that is at least partially autobiographical, this would be the case here. basically its alot of stuff that has really captured my ear recently. the title is copied from Ott's track of the same name.
peace!
