we won't separate the contest mixes until 2.0... then we will retroactively separate it...
as of right now though, that would be 5-6 hours of work updating the existing site to handle it... and i'd much rather put the time into the 2.0 version (all enhancements to the existing site just push off our 2.0 release)

there has been a lot of requests to separate the contest mixes into their own top list so that contests don't overshadow other mixes on the site (since they get more attention).
This play perfectly into 2.0 as we have a lot of new "top lists", and new ways for mixes to be rated. There is also another little something in there that we aren't divulging just yet (in a few days we'll make an announcement to get feedback on it).

What about a mixtape of songs based on books? Or a mixtape of songs that all have some instrument in common (besides the obvious guitar, durms, bass) .. say Hammond B3 Organ, or saxophone, or trumpet?
