description:
i woke up to the call at 8am, still groggy from last night's debauchery. "where are you? we know who you're with. you need to come say goodbye to megan. she's dying." i had never experienced loss of this magnitude in all my life. on june 29th, my cousin, more like a sister since we were both only children and spent most of our childhood together, suffered massive head injuries from a car accident. yesterday, she would have been 28. it's been a hard week... and i haven't been able to talk to the person who experienced that horrible time with me. i made this mixtape as a sort of release. it's a lot of ambient and love songs... more of a mood piece than anything else. i've encountered some difficulty relating to the rest of my family's grieving. they're all religious, talking of her being in a "better place" or that "god had a plan for her." i'm sure you get the idea... anyway, i've been putting this together for a while. i'll use it when i'm driving home at night, thinking... i'm having difficulty writing a description... so here it is:
