When picking a movie/musical to re-soundtrack for this contest, I decided simply to go with the movie/musical I know the best, which resulted in probably the most obvious choice in the world: GREASE! I love that silly, kitschy piece of crap movie, and I have ever since I first saw it at the age of six and developed a crush on Danny Zuko. So here is my reworking of the Grease soundtrack (re-ordered, because for some reason the soundtrack doesn't follow the order of the movie).

i turned 18 a little over a week ago and today, using the birthday money my grandmother gave me (can't wait til she asks what i bought with it), i got a tattoo. music geek that i am, i created a mixtape to celebrate my newfound badassery. Expect overuse of the word "badass."

So, the college where I'm starting in the fall has this mixtape exchange group on facebook, and I've been assigned to send a mix to a girl I've never met. This is the mix I came up with and sent to her today. It doesn't have a theme, but I tried to keep it mostly full of cheery songs because apparently not everybody likes to be depressed. Also, there are a lot of songs on it that I've used on other mixes, just because I wanted to give this gal a real idea of what kind of music I like.

i've started keeping a list of my favorite album from every year i've been alive, which gave me the idea to make a mixtape of my favorite song that came out every year from my birth to now while i'm still young enough to have them all fit on one mix. so without further ado, here are my favorite songs from the years 1990 to 2008.

When I got a new laptop for graduation in May, I felt the need to create the perfect mix of songs to listen to first in order to consecrate my pristine new itunes. The resulting mix was a combination of some of my all-time favorite songs and my obsessions at the time.

one of my hobbies is lying on my back and not moving. unfortunately i do not have a cool ipod pillow like the ones in the album artwork on which to do so. there are, however, certain songs that help me out. here are some of them. (part 2 of this mix coming soon.)
