Thanks mate. All that really matters to me is that I truly had fun putting the Bowie theme together. There were a couple of points where I was struggling but that was the fun part.

Nothing wrong with switching directions, Bowie did it all the time, I think most artists with something to say usually find lots of different ways to say it. I actually meant I just liked the first few singles of Radiohead. It is everything after 'Creep' I lost interest with, not a fan of 'OK Computer' for instance, so I lost them long before the big change in direction. I liked Thom Yorkes solo thing actually.

i understand about the newer radiohead. they did completely switch directions on everyone... but then again, so did the beatles. i picked that track for the atmospherics & the fact that it doesnt contain vocals.

1. Inside Out - John Martyn (stoned experimental jazzy bluesy stuff.)
2. Down By The Jetty - Doctor Feelgood (Third generation white UK R&B)
3. Bless The Weather - John Martyn (Sexy folk rock)
4. Then Play On - Fleetwood Mac (Peter Green's last studio album with Mac. Moving away from blues to something beautiful but never quite realised)
5. SF Sorrow - The Pretty Things (First rock opera ever. imperfect and all the better for it)
6. Forever Changes - Love (melodic rock at it's best)
7. Celtic Steppes - Dick Heckstall-Smith (Jazz symphony with an eye to the past. Not the album it should have been, but with great moments)
8. There's A Bond Between Us/The Sound Of 65 - The Graham Bond ORGANization (You can find a cd with both albums on. The mid 60s lineup of GBO was Graham Bond - keys and sax, Dick Heckstall-Smith - tenor and alto sax, Jack Bruce - Bass, Ginger Baker - drums. Hear the true birth of fusion years before it supposedly existed.)
