Thanks :D I got really mad when I wrote that because while my town is probably the most ethnically diverse city in the US, one of our suburbs, Rio Linda (home of the famous asshole Rush Limbaugh) is famous for being total hickville.

Aside from that, I have two really good friends who are gay but can't tell their parents. Tyler, my best friend's boyfriend, has a mom who won't let him go to the area of the city where we live because she thinks he's seeing a boy here (which he is). Meanwhile, his dad calls gay guys fags and stuff like that. The other one, Leonard, well... his family is black and, at least in this area, the black community is not exactly universally accepting of gays.

So yeah... it's kind of a big deal for me. :P

I can see how that's gotta suck, yeah, but as you said, c'est la vie, non ?.

Haha, it's funny that you think so, because that's exactly how most schools are around here :P

I still really wanted to go back to that school because it's where my friends go, and I would have liked to graduate with them. But, if I can't, c'est la vie, I suppose.

Lucky! Haha. Well our teachers make us stay in class unless we have a pass out, and then if class isn't in session you aren't allowed to leave the school if it's a closed campus. It's kind of like prison sometimes, especially at the school I went to where they had bars on all the doors and windows...

This blows my mind. People do that all the time, don't they? Well, they do here. We do. And if we don't show up in a class, the teacher simply add that to our absence--this-semester-in-whole, and when that reaches a certain percent, like, 10 %, you have to talk to the head master about your situation, and most people just get warnings and pick it where they left. Like uni. O.K. I don't know about that last part with the head master, if that's how it works in uni as well, but really, the teacher can't say ANYTHING if you decide to leave in the middle/at the beginning of his/her lesson. They just note it.

Haha no, I was trying to sneak out of school in the middle of the day. I hadn't officially left yet. I'm pretty sure that what they should have done instead of expelling me was take me back to class... but uh, apparently people aren't nice anymore.

I don't get it. You were about to sneak out of (in the middle of the night?), and that's what they are kicking you out for? That's seriously fucked up, or did I get it wrong..

Oh it was a big scandal... I was apparently off campus so they kicked me out for too many closed campus violations -- but I hadn't left yet when they caught me. I was really upset when that happened.

The whole school at home thing isn't really my thing -- I've done it before. I tend to piss away all my time so I don't get everything done on time!

So you go to school at home, is that how it works? With your own personal teacher(s) and stuff. Why oh why did you get kicked out, Meg?

Not much lately -- I started school (senior year!) but I didn't get back into the school I got kicked out of, which is sad. :( It's independent study, so I just stay at home all the time. It's pretty boring. There are only so many things to do here!

I loved everything about it. I only wish it was longer, that there were more Horcruxes, that it would expand over more time, like, five years - stuff like that. 8)

I don't care about the end being too happy or cliche or whatever, it's everything I ever hoped would happen in HP since I was 8 or so, so I'm happy with it :D I heard a lot of things people didn't like about the book, but I liked nearly everything about it.

AWESOME. I'll totally buy it as well. Although, I haven't read those other sidekicks she's made for the Harry Potter universe yet.

I know right? Ugh! It was the best one, in my opinion. It's definitely my new favorite. I heard Rowling is going to publish an encyclopedia-type-thing! I'll totally buy it when it comes out. HP has been a part of my life since I was 8. :D

Yeah, I finished it around 4 a.m. this morning. I fucking loved it. I'm just sad that this is it. Rowling knew how to write those books GOOD.
