"Girls versus Boys" is an awesome idea - go for it, definitely! I've also wanted to do a color mix in a long time now, but never got around to it. Also, I haven't worked on your DK mix in forever, so I should get to it probably. I really want to be in the next contest, been ages since last time. Now I will check out your latest mix. :)

Hej! How are you doing? I finally got my new laptop two weeks ago.
I definately like that kind of mellow "not so loud" music I took on the winter tape. But it was also the mood for the theme. There are also some faster or louder songs I like. It depends on my own mood and can change daily. Last week I recorded an extended version of my "Love Story Mix" for another mixtape forum contest. The next one might rather be a "Girls versus Boys" tape with one side just female vocals and the other side only male or it might be a "Colours"-Mix. But I don't know. What about you, did you mix any playlists on the last time?

That sucks about your current pc difficulties. I listen to the tape at night when I find it hard to sleep, you have a very soothing and not-so-loud taste in music, really nice. :) Or it was just the mood of this particular mixtape, I don't know. Nice job anyway.

Yeah, I know Last.FM very well. It was through that site I discovered MTC, so it's not too much to say that it has really changed my life. The free radio can be a real life saver from time to time when you're in need of something new to you to listen to. I'm not actually going to the Tegan and Sara show, though, because I have a school trip to Rome then.

KAthi, I got the tape last week, and I just love it! Even though Christmas' over and there's no snow around, the songs are all really adorable. I was really excited to see Eskobar and the Wannadies on the track list, and I'm slightly obsessed with the Fountains of Wayne track on side A. Also, I was actually going to put that Raveonettes song on your mix, but you beat me to it with your winter mix, WHICH ROCKS!

That's okay. Sometimes they send out the post anyway, and then the recipient pays for the missing postage. That's how I hope they do with this one anyway. :)

I see. We have a nice station here in Denmark as well, but I don't have time to listen to radio ever, only on Sundays, and Sunday equals sports, so in between every other song you have to listen through ice hockey match scores and interviews with coaches. Bummer.

Well when I was at school I never listened to radio. But radio in Saxonia was just terrible at all. But when I came to Postdam for university I realized that radio is a real good medium. There were two channels which played good music and not only the current charts in hot rotation. Even the presenters and the shows very really nice. That time I listened to radio quite often and got to know much new music. But I don't think there's such a good radio program in Munich. You'll get the tape the next days!

I know what you mean, but generally I think radio sucks. Too much host blathering and too many pop songs that you grow tired of easily. It's nice though to dwell on older bands. I can't say I'm more to new or old stuff, it's very blurry. As for the Radiohead album, you can just go to www.inrainbows.com and basically download it for free (if you like, you can also pay for it).

Well, I like good old songs as well as new ones. There are also some old bands which I got into lately which I didn't recognize when they were better known. Currently I am not much into newest music but that doesn't mean I won't like it. I just don't know a good radio station around here and have less time to listen to new stuff online. So I better listen cd album or mixes. But as I said, when I visit my best friend around New Year's eve, she will teach me about current stuff again. Haven't either heard the new Radiohead.

Well, most of my old friends don't like indie at all. About one or two persons for each style: trance and techno, mainstream radio pop and black music, disco fox schlager and 80ies, metal and gothic. Guess what is going on at birthday parties when choosing the music! ;-)
I once happened to introduce my best friend (she doesn't belong to that group) into new music some years ago and now it's the opposite and she is much more into new stuff than I am! I'm already excited to visit her around new years eve.

I'm no good in introducing people to new music. It's a great feeling, no doubt, but somehow I always befriend indie pop persons who won't listen to anything pre-Franz Ferdinand, so my effort's wasted on their likes.

Yes, would be nice to get your mix for christmas! My winter mix is still not complete, if I'll ever be satisfied I might post it here. If you like, you can get it for christmnas, too. I had to do another mix in between with unknown artists for someone else first but that includes some songs I already used on other tapes so I won't post this one here.

I was going to enter, but I ended up with a bit of a rushed mixtape which I couldn't work on further, so I gave up. I might upload it later, though, because although it doesn't grasp the crazy theme very well, I think it works a mixtape.

About the Danish music mix, I'm working on it! Sorry, I haven't dug that much in to it yet, thank you for reminding me. I have plenty o' time at the moment, actually, so it should be done soon. It could be a Christmas present, if you like.

Yes, lessons were quite boring but just because I already worked with the data program and so there was not much new for me. Well, working with computer and databases is a big part of my job. That was one reason why many librarian program students break up university because they didn't expect that it means so many computer lessons. But I have to say, I didn't like that lessons in high school, too.

I saw the new contest, yes. Well, my next tape might be a winter tape for a friend but I'll have to wait for some cds I just orderred. Do you take part in that current contest? What about your danish music mix? Or no time, yet?
