How about a mix of songs which are or could be interpreted as being about the same person e.g there are a lot of songs out there about John Lennon.

I know we are in the middle of a contest, and I know single act mixtapes are frowned on in these hallowed circles, but...what about a mixtape contest where you have to do an ace mixtape of someones career, including all the bands and people they have worked with, and avoiding obvious tracks. (Say a limit of three songs that have appeared on any greatest hits CD) There have been one or two mixtapes like this, and I like them.

Dwangela White Elephant Gizzle (when the results are finished, the first place mix is sent to the person that took last place. The last place mix is sent to the second-to-last place mixer, and so on up to the second place mix is sent to the MTC'r that took first place.) Now try and vote according to the mix you want, and not necessarily the place you want. Or simply guarantee that you'll send out your mix to one person that submits a mix to the contest.
