I'm not a jerk in real life, although I say really mean things. Let me explain:
If I like someone, I generally pick on them - a lot. So I have to explain to the people I love that I pick on them because I love them. If I don't like a person, I just ignore them.
So most of my most cutting and humorous remarks are saved for those closest to me :-)
