I once cut through an alley back home in Finchley. There was this squirrel perched up on a wire fence, and it was like he was sizing something up. His shoulders tensed and he was bobbing up and down. I stopped top watch and he or she was unaware of me, concentrating on whatever was going on. Then finally, the squirrel leaped into the air, and it became apparent that he or she was trying to reach the wooden fence the other side of the alley, about 8 ft away. The squirrel just made it, grabbing hold of the top of the fence, and scrambled over the top into a tree filled back yard. It was the most impressive thing I have ever witnessed any animal human or otherwise achieve. So... just based on that one event, I vote yes!
