The Bronze Badge
Wow, one of your mixes is doing swell in the ratings! But remember, Bob Dole did 'swell' in the primaries...

lately, i have become obsessed with mashup artists. girl talk, diplo, dj earworm, dj zebra, dangermouse, princess superstar (her electro work), etc. but last night i discovered an album which absolutely takes the cake:
"Dark Side of the Gooom" mixed by Dopplebanger
he mixes mainstream hiphop and pop acapellas (khia, missy elliott, 50 cent, jay-z, christina aguilera, eminem, twista, etc.) with the music of dream pop/shoegaze artists from the Gooom label (villeneuve, m83, gel, abstrackt keal agram, etc), as well as sometimes with other electronic artists such as m.i.a, aphex twin, miss kittin.
the album is one of the most incredible albums i've heard. although i'm reluctant, i'm going to go ahead and say it blows the grey album (dangermouse's concoction of jay-z's black album and the beatles' white album) the fuck out of the water. seriously, if you are a fan of M83, you should definitely check it out at: beam.to/dopplebanger (make sure there are no spaces) it should be one of the first listings in the music section.
