I watched the movie La Vie En Rose yesterday, it's about the life of Edith Piaf. It's not the greatest, but the actor who plays Edith is really amazing. I would recommend it to anyone who likes Edith's music and who would like to find out about her life, which was one thing i didnt know anything about...i found out she had a really tragic life and the movie is quite sad, especially the last scene.

However, I didn't think the movie was that deeply sad because this movie skipped all over the place and it took away from the impact of some of the things that happened to her. but my family thought it was really sad and they were all on the verge of tears.

well anyway it got us debating over what our saddest movies are, personally i thought that when Mufasa dies in the lion king was the saddest movie moment for me. And the film Lilya-4eva set in former republic of the Soviet Union, was the most saddest and deeply moving film experience i've ever had. What's yours???

Long before being knocked up with Eddie Murphy's illegitimate child, Scary Spice was on top of the world. Now, she's nothing but washed up. It's kind of sad, really. Just by scoring third place in this contest, you've got infinitely more street cred than Scary. Congrats!

The Neverending Story.

It's not so much the film but the scene where Artex dies is probably the saddest thing i have ever seen.

I bought it cheap a few years ago because it was one of my childhood films and i hadn't seen it since i was little.
I was a big ball of mess in that scene. Like sobbing uncontrollably. Lucky no one was there to see me.

What Dreams May Come gets me every time.

When "When She Loved Me", by Sarah McLachlan plays in Toy Story 2, I get all trembly lipped and sobbery. Blame Canada.

The last scene of 'All Quiet On The Western Front' is powerful as an anti-war statement, and is moving and truly sad in the right way. I remember seeing a movie when I was a kid where an army deserter is executed as Frank Sinatra sings 'Have Yourself A Very Merry Christmas'. That made me blub at the time. I am a sentimental old fucker, and In more recent times have cried during 'I Am Sam', 'Dead Man Walking' and 'Play It Forward'.
