...between 'fresh profile' and 'random profile' when you're jumping quickly to and fro? is it explained elsewhere?

"random profile" chooses any random profile out of all the profiles on the site.
"fresh profile" chooses a profile that you have not rated yet. once you rate all of the profiles on the site, "fresh profile" kicks you back to the main page.
same goes for all of the "fresh" and "random" buttons as far as i know.
im not sure if "fresh profile" chooses a random profile that you haven't rated, or if there is a method to it (ie most recently added unrated profile).
