The MLK Badge badge
The MLK Badge
Because Civil Rights rock (and roll).

Rasputina's best cover imo is of Bad Moon Rising, but never mind, I love covers, it's great to hear a different interpretation of music my ears has grown used to hear in a certain way. Plus, what's to say that just because one artist wrote a song, that they're also best suited to perform it?

I have a mix of cover songs, but I think it needs a bit of revision before I post it.

Team Robot Member badge
Team Robot Member
Despite the fact that TEAM ROBOT was crushed like a Pabst can at a frat party by the might claws of TEAM MONSTER, you are still deserving of a badge... Loser.

Bloody good mix as usual. "What's So Funny.." was written by Nick Lowe, but first recorded for a band he was in at the time, Brinsley Schwarz. They had this unfair tag of being the most hyped band in Britain, as their record label flew a whole bunch of reporters to New York from London to see what turned out to be a bombed gig! They had two good writers though, Lowe and Ian Gomm. With the exception of those two, the rest of the band (including guitarist Brinsley) became the rumour in Grham Parker and The Rumour. Sorry top bang on about a minor point. When the band I was in were at the bottom of the pub rock food chain, The Brinsleys were at the top. Plus, I have toothache and I am grouchy, so pontificating at length over something really unimportant feels good somehow! Fucking good mix my friend.

Team Robot - First Place
A special badge for the first-place winner of the fabled robots vs. monsters mixtape contest. As my boy Johnny 5 would say, "Robot Team kick your ass, Robot Team Kick your face, Robot Team kick your balls into outer space"

The Friday the 13th Badge I
Friday the 13th taught us all the heartwarming lesson that if you are a camp counselor, it's probably not in your best interest to let that (potentially mentally retarded [see wikipedia]) kid swim alone while you are trying to get a piece of ass.

You're finally legal! Huzzah! We all know you've been boozing since you were 13, but don't worry, we'll keep quiet.

Now, get off the damn computer and go hit up the bars.

I threw the Radiohead song on my sexy party mix based on Thom Yorke's endorsement. I don't think I agree with him either.
