It's the year 2002. I'm in love and making my first collaborative mixtape with my boyfriend. This song is the first track and we play it on repeat about five times before going on to the next track. I remember yelling along with the keyboard blips and beeps at the beginning, in unison, and laughing and laughing and laughing. We played the tape a million times in my car or his, while driving around to thrift stores and record stores. I always associate this band with him, and this track especially to our happiest times and some of my best memories.
