This track was the first that I heard from the Portland natives. My friend Spencer burned me a copy of Picaresque, and proceeded to play this, because (in his words), "If you don't like anything else on here, you will like this."
He was right.
The storytelling is semi-remnant of Samuel Taylor Coleridges 'The Rime of the Ancient Mariner', which has always struck me as a particularly interesting poem.
And since Spencer lives in Memphis, and I live in AR, anytime I hear this it takes me back to that college dorm, eating pizza rolls and watching the bootleg of the Family Guy movie. Good times.
