I don't know about SC being the worst Bowie song ever, The Laughing Gnome and Wide Eyed Boy From Freecloud must be high on that list. I love Moonage daydream, but I picked SC particularly for the three chord trick similarity to the British punk of a couple of years later. Something from Man Who Sold The World might have worked too!
