The reason you have become level 2 is, I'm guessing, cause people rate you and your mix(es) positive. You can view it under Ratings > history (view). There are a lot of things that makes you go up in level:
Every new badge you receive earns you some points;
As I mentioned, other users' ratings;
If you participate in any of the contests on this site, you get points if you get in 1st, 2nd or 3rd;
When you add new music data to the database you get points;
And most importantly...when you rate other users' profiles and mixtapes, you get +1 point for each profile or mix rated. ;)
And I will certainly go watch Don't Look Now soon even though I know how it ends.
