I often go to yard sales in search of old mix tapes people are getting rid of. I've collected several of these and so I've decided to share a few. The first I share is dated Auguest 22 1990 and is on MEMOREX dbs tape with a picture of a sandy beach with palm trees taped to the cover insert for artwork. A note inside the cover reads: I LOVE YOU ALWAYS AND FOREVER. -MOLLY

Just to see what happened, I decided to create a mix by using the GENIUS function on my iTunes and seeing if I could find a common thread among those tunes other than their musical similarities. The song I used to start it was REM's "Imitation of Life". In a way, I think I've created a nice song-cycle about life, love, and sanity. As SPINAL TAP confirms, it's a fine line between stupid and clever.
