Sometimes I lie awake at night, and I ask, "Where have I gone wrong?" Then a voice says to me, "This is going to take more than one night."

The Friday the 13th Badge I
Friday the 13th taught us all the heartwarming lesson that if you are a camp counselor, it's probably not in your best interest to let that (potentially mentally retarded [see wikipedia]) kid swim alone while you are trying to get a piece of ass.

This is my pitiful attempt at a comeback. I haven't made a mix on here since December. 99.9% of my mixes are made for me to listen to in the car, so I figured this contest would be good for me.

So, this is a two-sided mixtape. One side, the wine. The smooth, sexual, baby-making music. This will get your girl (or guy, I guess, if you are a girl) in the mood. The other side... the cheese. Some of the worst pop acts I could think of off hand. This will seduce your woman (or guy, again) with the power of laughter. Unless you're trying to get someone's mom, then there is a good chance she likes it.

Ok, so I had enough tracks from the first time around, I decided to make a 2nd mixtape of songs. Of course, the same thing here. These are songs I would like to see in a future Guitar Hero game. Some easy, some hard, some in-between... some newer, some older.

I'm a big fan of Guitar Hero. I suck badly at the guitar in real life, so it makes me feel better when I can rock out to something I could never play on a real guitar. So, these are some songs I would like to see on GH3. Of course, I tried to include some easier songs, some more recent songs, older classics and what not, just like the game does.

I had a few ideas for this, but finally settled on this method. Each song is from a movie where the actors are all connected. Now, some of these movies are not exactly my favorite, but who cares, I like the songs. And yes I know, some of the movies could have been skipped since some of the actors are in every movie imaginable. But that's how I roll. And, in true degrees-of-separation fashion, it ends with Kevin Bacon.
I should mention that not all of the songs actually appeared on the official soundtrack, but they were used in the movie. Enjoy!

"I'm sorry, there's nothing you can do..." the voice said. I nodded silently, not really listening. I held the Summer in my arms, holding on as long as I could. Hoping to have just a little more time... but it was too late. The last rays of sunshine flickered brightly for a moment, then dimmed, then faded to dark. Autumn comes and takes my hand, and leads me away...

My goal was to show that a sad song is not simply created with a clever use of minor chords. Yes, the music itself can often create the mood, but many times a trembling voice or a hushed whisper can be just as powerful, if not more.
The mix gets darker as it goes on, and I think it works rather well.

I made this mix to see how it would work out. If you can figure out the relationship between each track, you win... well, nothing. And if you don't like the mix, I don't care. That's how I roll.

I was reorganzing some CDs and came across a few albums I hadn't listened to in a while.
So I decided to make a mix that I would have made in high school. My friend's grandmother had a house she rented out to some guy. He died, so my friends and I took it over and used it to hang out and play music. We sucked, but that's ok. A lot of these songs are songs we would cover or find in our CD players regularly. The cover is a picture of my Fender P-Bass.
Enjoy...
