liner notes
Well...I have no claim to fame...just your average child of the 60's... yeah... the nineteen-sixties!! I love music. I can't lie... I always wanted to be a rock star... actually sometimes I am, but that's only when I driving in my car, by myself... Since you already know I'm old it won't shock you to know that I have owned NEW 45's, 8-Tracks, Albums (oh, yeah, those are called "vinyls" now), Cassettes & yeah, I even have a few CDs now. Technology has progressed, but no new notes have been added to the scale... so be creative and ROCK ON!!

My mix is a complete day of mixed goodness (no it's not that long)... but I tried to include two songs for each part of the day...EXCEPT for the working part, since that's not very fun...okay, so it's not all goodness, but, hopefully it's creative...Good night Moon...

Have you ever been embarrassed that you actually know the lyrics to certain songs?? I know, the words get in there accidentally and stick. It doesn't mean you really like the stuff. Well, here is a mix of songs that if you know all the lyrics...it's okay...we understand...just try not to sing too loud when the song comes on while out in public...

Labels, labels... I've been labeled a few times. I've often labeled others. We all have... But it's just a label, it's not who you really are. Who you are doesn't depend on how you feel or what you wear. Feelings change just like fashion trends... I know who I am, I know where I'm going... My life is built on unchanging Truth...
But that's not what this mix is about. This mix has songs, that over time, have been anthems, demands, dreams or just signs of the times. So put your hand over your heart or raise your fist or sway back & forth with your hands over your head!! Hope you think it's a groovy little mix....

I'm not one to live in the past. Actually, I advise people NOT to do that, cuz the past usually seems better than it actually was. HOWEVER, since my past is longer then my future will probably be (unless I live to be over 90) I thought I'd share a mix of some of the artists that I was able to experience live (and isn't LIVE the BEST way to experience music?).
Here are some things to remember:
When I saw these bands, they were pretty much in their prime (no grey hair, they HAD hair, no hip replacements, no oxygen tanks, no hearing aids oh yeah....they weren't dead)
Another interesting fact is that the crowd actually had seats and SAT for most of the show (how boring!) If you jumped up to move to your favorite song, you ususally got yelled at to SIT DOWN by someone behind you. Concerts, as they were called, were very different from the Shows of today, where crowd particiation is a big part of the overall experience. They were still fun and excieting and such a part of my youth. SO BUST OUT YOUR LIGHTERS AND YELL FOR AN ENCORE!!! Enjoy....
