What if we started something that was kiiiinda like a book club except it was more of a music collective, where there's a featured album designated every couple weeks or so, and we hem and haw over the various attributes of said album. I think it'd not only be useful for exchanging ideas but also educational, in case some people are more knowledgable about production or obscure instruments or the artist's history, etc. they could impart that science upon others and vice versa. Plus it'd be exposure to new music that many might not have found before, and it'd be more in depth than a brief comment on a mix.

this would be pretty rad if corey and eric built this into the site as one of the sections and made it official. it could be updated every couple of weeks or so.. contain the album cover, all the info for the album, as well as maybe some band info/history and a link to the band's page on this site.

I really like this idea... eric and I had been talking about how it might be cool to eventually have album reviews, etc on the site as well... but that would probably be a ways off...
this, however, would be very cool.
Maybe have it linked up with contests, and the #1 winner of the contest gets to choose the album to be critiqued for the following weeks until a new winner is crowned.
