When going to vote on moderations, half the time when I click on the "vote" link, I get this:

Voting has been halted as this moderation awaits verification.

Then I have to hit the back button to go to the index of the Moderation page, click the same little link again, and hope I actually get a mod that needs to be voted on.

Can we please:
1. Have all mods waiting for verification NOT show up when you click on the "vote link"
and
2. Have a "vote for next mod" link at the bottom of each mod page, so that you don't have to keep hitting the back button

I fully second #2 there. I haven't moderated in a while because of it.

It does make voting pretty tedious

We had lofty goals for the moderation section, but it's kind of in shambles at the moment. We have no site moderators (nor do we plan to, at least for awhile), so a lot of stuff goes unapproved.

This will be fixed in the rebuild.

i'll throw the simple fixes up before long.

The whole system needs to be replaced though...especially once we switch the database structure to allow songs to be on more than 1 album (which allows for more accurate stats, less confusion, and various artists/compilations)

so how long is this rebuild going to take???

if we bring on shortbus as a third developer, i'm going to say 3-5 months give or take a little bit.

I work 50 hours/week at a web company, so free time is minimal and coding all day makes me less inclined to come home and code all night, so at best I can see myself coding 10 hours a week, and the rebuild is going to require our entire infrastructure to be redone, and all pages, design, etc.

if it means anything, our current version is around 85k lines of code...new version will be less, but it's still a lot of work.

Ya know... I could do it for you in a weekend... if you buy me enough beer.

Something I found with moderations and the frustration of "voting has been halted for verification" thing. Maybe this is frowned upon? Scanning moderations made me a better person, who capitalizes bands and tracks now, so it could be a good thing.

When you are on a particular mod, the address for that mod is (obviously) in the address bar, and at the end of that address is something along these lines "...mod=18" (for example). So, to get to other mods, as opposed to going back and forth between the moderation page and expired mods, I would just change that number, press enter and be taken to a different mod. I'm embarrassed to say I did this one night out of curiousity, I believe there is nothing before 30 and nothing after 170, but that may have changed since then. Not all numbers work, but it's much less irritating than hoping that you get a mod you can vote on.
