Something some friends and I did a long time ago was to do a chain letter of a mixtape. Someone set a theme, picked the first song, put it on a tape, and then posted it to someone else who would add a track, then forward it on to someone else, till the tape was full, and then it would be returned to the originator, who would make copies for everyone else. Of the few we did, a couple got lost, a couple were shite, but there were a couple that were interesting. Also, there was one that crossed the Atlantic 5 times on its travels, as well as visiting Germany and Italy. Yes, I am a very sad man, but I did wonder if we could maybe get a version of this going on the site. One of us could come up with a title, a first song, then selct someone on the collective to do the next one, and so on. Just a thought.

I'd be down for doing this manually OR digitally.
Digitally, it could be done with e-mail. I'm assuming that people would have to actually obtain copies of the other songs in order to make a full mix, but I think it could be fun.
Then we can distribute it as the official MTC MIXTAPE I. rad.
