The last "contest" wasn't as interesting as the real contests. Accept no substitutes.

It's not a 'contest' so much as a...community event?
I like the autobiography contests. Gives you a chance to get to know each other a little bit, and understand each other's musical tastes better.

How about a contest where everyone who wants to signs up, then Eric randomly splits us into pairs, then each asks the other in a pair to compile a mixtape based on a theme of their choosing! Or not!

Hmm... i like where you are going with that. To add onto it: I'd call it the "Potato-Sack Race." But keeping with the sack race theme, I think the mix should have a beginning and a destination. How the mixtape teams get between the two would be up to them.

Sure, but it's no "contest". It's an activity.

You know what's funny? I suggested the exact same thing.

Also, I think it's good that we're branching out into different MTC events. That was the second time we've done audiobiographies and it's great to hear singular events or stories that accompany a song. It's like a magnification of a mixtape. Plus you get to know other members better.
You gotsta think out of the box, man!

Sorry to be a dark cloud on a sunny, rainbow filled day, but our current infrastructure can't support multiple-user mixtapes at this current time.
blamo.

Wow, one of your mixes is doing swell in the ratings! But remember, Bob Dole did 'swell' in the primaries...

I actually meant that two randomly chosen people would each chose a theme for the other to do a mixtaope about. I might ask Immers for example to do a mixtape about fish with songs having some kind of fishy link, whilst he might ask me to do a mixtape of Swiss thrash metal. I just thought that the idea of two people thrown together imposing their mixtape wills on each other might be fun!

That last thing sounds incredibly cool, johnny_luddite!
Also, maybe we could make a little database with all kinds of random words, and when you sign up for a contest, you get a word that you have to make a mixtape about.
