Ballboy, Band of Horses, Beirut, Cat Power, Hello Saferide, Loney Dear, The One AM Radio.
Not all songs are mellow of course.
And I have a feeling you already know them all.

I've heard of most of these, but always forget to check em out. The only one of that list I've listened to is Cat Power. Didn't like the one song i heard, but think I'll get crackin on some albums.

Thanks :)

You could see if you like the first Kings of Convenience album. Also American Analog Set's Know By Heart, The CQ soundtrack is fantastic (with music by Mellow), the Red House Painters' Red House Painters (I) and/or Mazarin's We're Already There. Okay, I and I can't help but add The Sunday's Reading, Writing and Arithmetic, if you need a female vocalist.

(I need to find some more Beirut for myself)

Have you ever listened to Alpha? I like all of their cds, but Stargazing is in constant rotation for me.
Damien Rice is mellow in a different way if you are looking for a singer/songwriter kind of thing, but you are probably familiar with him. =]

This probably won't go over very well but you might try mewithoutYou. They have a very alternative style but they have true meaning behind their lyrics. Also Bright Eyes is a bit more mainstream but also enjoyable in a 'they actually have a clue what they're talking about kind of way' Conner Oberhst is an amazing lyricist.
