The first time I saw it i was quite underwhelmed by it. But upon a repeated viewing I found it much funnier for some reason. Now it's "that movie" that gets quoted all of the time at my school.

Quick note:
Idiocracy only played in 5 theaters nationwide for only one week. This is because test audiences scored it really badly. The most common reason: THEY DIDN'T UNDERSTAND IT.

Yup yup... it was still a pretty funny movie though! Maya Rudolph was great. And I dunno, I think maybe they tried to incorporate so much "dumb humour" to appeal to a wider audience, but that's probably what killed the movie since it is making fun of mediocrity. Ah well.
