Despite the fact that TEAM ROBOT was crushed like a Pabst can at a frat party by the might claws of TEAM MONSTER, you are still deserving of a badge... Loser.

I listened to bits of it last week. My old man band were doing a cover of one of it's tracks in our set and I wanted to listen a few times. I ended up playing whole swathes of it. It was genius then, it is genius now! I think it is one of the few times where a musician in the studio was so totally immersed with their craft. Fucking brilliant!

No shit. I was thinking the exact same thing. Hendrix was the god that elevated my consciousness of music at such a young, impressionable age. My father sacrificed his precious vinyl to the clumsy hands of a 13 year old. Thanks, paw.

Must be something about being 13. I had a vinyl single of Voodoo Chile when I was thirteen and had just been playing the shit out of it in my room when I came down for dinner and saw on the TV that he had died. My reaction was to go back to my room and play my entire Hendrix collection back to back. (At that time, that consisted of Voodoo Chile, and a couple more singles (Wind Cries Mary and I think Purple Haze.)
