The Bronze Badge
Wow, one of your mixes is doing swell in the ratings! But remember, Bob Dole did 'swell' in the primaries...

It's out.
How are you paying for it?
I can't get no money, so for now I was a complete snark and downloaded it for free. But as soon as I get my hands on $82 I'll buy the discbox.

They're tricky, that Radiohead. When I went to DL it I almost felt guilted into paying something. This coming from the girl who happily downloads almost everything for free.
Also, they've always had an impossible site. In every incarnation I've seen it's been silliness to find anything. Or else you get lost in a neverending tangent of pages with strange artwork and forgotten song lyrics.

Sort of a Get-Out-of-Guilt-Jail-Free statement.
The website is total Hell, and I think that's really what they're aiming for. When I first heard "Creep" a year or two ago (yeah, its pathetic), I went to the Radiohead website and gave up on liking them after losing myself in uber-poor HTML skills. And then I heard OK Computer in its entirety, and "got" it.

TEAM 97 -- Third Place
Long before being knocked up with Eddie Murphy's illegitimate child, Scary Spice was on top of the world. Now, she's nothing but washed up. It's kind of sad, really. Just by scoring third place in this contest, you've got infinitely more street cred than Scary. Congrats!

SAME HERE!
Like, "Ah, it's an artistic message about the our simultaneous downfall and rise from technology, told through technology."
And then I was bored and looked up mime porn.

No one should say these things. Come on. Your better than that.

You're right sledgypants. I'm once again not portraying myself truthfully on internet message boards. Like, the other day I was discussing Dostoyevskian theories in relation to Abu Ghraib, Islam and Paris Hilton's jail tenure with some knowledgeable folk, and I lied and said I had read the entirety of The Brothers Karamazov. :(

That reminds me of a time when I shamed someone for not reading The Brothers Karamazov in its entirety when in actuality I myself had not read it either. This happened about thirty four seconds ago.

i just downloaded it off bittorrent, there was like 3500 seeds o_o - plus i dont really care anymore about downloading music. I was at a NIN concert a few weeks ago and Trent Reznor told the crowd that we should download his music but come to his concerts. I've taken up that philosophy since then - except for local acts i get into of course.

I feel the exact same way. And I'll buy albums of artists I'm dedicated to supporting. The last time I bought an album without hearing it previously ended with a wasted $11.

bands on major labels make shit all as well from their cd sales. plus if i was in the position to live comfortably, travel the world, and my job was to play music as a living. i would not care if someone downloaded my music. at least they are listening to me.

I read The Game by Neil Strauss and it taught me how to trick women into loving me and giving me oral pleasures in bar bathrooms. TA-DUH!

The Halloween 2007 Badge
Happy Halloween 2007! In celebration of this event, here is a recipe to make your very own candy corn:
Combine 1 cup of razor blades, 2 cups of clown tears and 3/4 tablespoon spider eggs in a pan and bring to a boil stirring constantly. Stir occasionally. Remove from heat and add 2 cups hemlock and 3 ounces of fish oil. Stir until cool enough to handle. Shape and distribute.
Trick or treat!
