Hello,
Lizzie Dickerson here. You have decided to add my song, "Charlie", to your mix. Which is nice. But I have to tell you- the lyrics are: "My little girl's eyes looking back at me". This is a problem of digital distribution...
The idea is that I was looking at my friend, Charlie, and what I was seeing in his eyes was the same fear I felt: it is very difficult to be an independent thinker sometimes, and sometimes when we need to be trailblazers, inside we all feel like scared little kids trying to believe in ourselves.
I hope that you find more use out of the lines "I'm tired of this great white American lie." I hope that instead of crying in your gin, you look your own little girl in the eyes and get out there and do something to shake up this world.
