Many Mighty Fine Musical Picks! I even used a couple on some of my mixes (track 12 lead a mix I made of Jazz from the '30s & '40s and track 5 was in the middle of a mix I called "Songs in the Key of Love" that focused on music from the 2nd half of the '50s). I'd put links to them here but the site I posted them to is under siege by hackers (possibly employed by notorious entities that wish to stamp out sites that promote free distriubution of tunage). If you dare to check them out do searches on google with "retrojoe" and either "Little Willie" or "do right" in the search (I'm safe as long as all my microsoft security updates are installed and I'm running my Norton Internet Security). The Firefox browser may not let you access the pages for security reasons. Anyway, I may just post at least one of those mixes here at mixtapecollective (the late '50s one in particular). Thanks again Johnny for this mix and turning us on to the source of your inspiration!

Wow, what a collection, thanks for putting this great stuff together. (I still remember my parents having a lot of 78s; they made LP records seem really compact.) Lots here to check out.

Also, it took me a while to place it, but the song "Why Don't You Do Right" was totally sung by Jessica Rabbit in 'Who Framed Roger Rabbit?'

Oh wow, I stumbled across that site while at work a while back and bookmarked it to email myself so I could download some of it at home, which I promptly forgot to do. THANK YOU for sharing! I'm listening to it right now and loving it. :D

Not much I recognize here, but I love Howlin' Wolf, and Johnny Otis too. Benny Goodman is one of dad's big favorites so I've listened a ton to him growing up. Good stuff.

The Valentine's Day 2008 Badge
Happy Valentine's day from the MTC staff. We really do love you all. So much so, in fact, that you should probably investigate a temporary restraining order -- we're crazy like that.

That's excellent. I love the Little Willie John original of Fever. I prefer it to any other version I've heard.

Despite the fact that TEAM ROBOT was crushed like a Pabst can at a frat party by the might claws of TEAM MONSTER, you are still deserving of a badge... Loser.
