holy crap, i didnt even know they were doing anything new. is it out, or to be released?

Seriously, I'm in love with Animal Collective. Each of their albums has its own awesome vibe, and it always seems to match up with my life when I hear it. For example, I first heard their album Feels when I was starting high school, and the music was a perfect soundtrack to how happy and expectant of things to come I was. I was like a newborn babe shat into the face of civilization. And the record matched perfectly.

Now they release Strawberry Jam, and it's way different but still matches up with how I'm feeling. I just got my heart broken for the third time in one year, school has sucked, my parents are getting a divorce, I've been drifting away from all my best chums, etc. And the album is the perfect soundtrack to that. All the best songs on it (cos some really aren't that great) are uncertain and wistful, but at the same time have a good optimistic vibe. It's not even optimism. It's just like they're saying, "C'est la vie, Aaron. But you still got shit to look forward to."

It's hard to explain, but that's why I really dig them.

Hello yourself. I finally got to spend a bit of time on last.fm the other day. I do think their grading system is whacked. You and I have 'very low' musical compatability according to them, like that is a bad thing. I would have thought that a plus personally. I don't need to be conversing with people who like exactly what I like because I would never be exposed to anything new that way.

I have. Though I am getting d-looted with respect to everyday mixtape life: I continue to lose random points here and there. For example: I achieved level 21 three times because points kept falling away from my mixes. Same with level 22, though I only had to make it there twice now. Someone said there are hackers afoot.
