I'm curious about all you people. Let's get a mini-bio thing going. I wanna know where you're from, how old (too lazy to load all your profiles), what you do, hobbies, etc.
I'll start:
I'm Corey. I work as a software engineer (web developer) at WebMD. I recently got engaged. I live in the Portland area of Oregon (Beaverton to be precise). My primary hobbies are web design and playing guitar. I've played guitar for like 10 years or so and have to say it's pretty awesome. In my spare time I work on a website called 'the Mixtape Collective' that started out as a school project and is evolving into (i think) a pretty badass website.
Okay, your turn.

I'm Alex. I like to have adventures and I also like to use my imagination. I enjoy learning as long as it's not forced upon me. I'm a big fan of yellow and black together, they're my favourites. I also really enjoy elephants and I have a collection of them...not of real ones of course, but of elephant memorabilia. I have a crappy job at a convenience store which I work at so I can run away to England again next week. After that I'm starting university in the fall and I don't like the program I'm in because it seems a little boring, but since I'm indecisive I haven't really changed my program and I'm just taking courses which will not get me anywhere in life, like what science fiction's affect on today's society is. I live in Ontario in a crappy town, but like I said, I'm moving in 2 weeks so that's pretty irrelevant.

I'm Jon, I'm 16 and I live in Southern Oregon. I just started working at Barnes & Noble, which is great so far. I love doing web/graphic design, although I don't have nearly as much experience doing really quality stuff as I'd like (since it's just a hobby so far). I've been playing guitar for about 9 months now. I'm starting my second year doing swimteam this year. I like Peanuts, the color blue, and Irish music, although David Bowie is my favorite music artist. (Yeah, I know, I'm not original.)

Mi chiamo Stephanie, and I'm 24. I work for an Extension/Research office of Oregon State University (even though I got my degree from its rival, U of Oregon) doing public relations and communications/special projects. I work at a winery on the weekend, for which I'm in the running to become manager and creative director. I also do contract graphic design work.
I have THREE cats, Buffy, Fabrizio, and Merlot, and I bought a house this past fall, which is still a little insane. I plan on selling it for a lovely profit in a year or two, saving some, and with the rest returning to my wandering vagrant days by backpacking some obscure region.
I grew up in Canada. I'm left handed. I swear a lot. I made fun of Pauly Shore to his face. I really like mangoes.

Major props for making fun of Pauly Shore to his face. That's badass.
Also, left-handed people rock. Mostly because I'm left-handed.
It seems like there are a lot of people into web/graphic design on here. Is there any specific reason for that?

I'm Alice. I'm 22, live in NYC, and am currently working as an assitant editor on a feature film called "Liberty Kid". It's driving me completely crazy because the hours are ridiculous and the pay isn't so great, but the experience is amazing and we're pioneering new Panasonic P2 technology- I think we're the first to use this on a feature, so we're working out all sorts of bugs and workflows which is exciting.
Other than work, I don't do much (20 hour days lately!) but when I have time, I drink a lot of coffee, hang out with my roommates, go to shows, and run vivalavinyl.org

Jenny, 23, Beaverton, graduated from OSU in June with Accounting and New Media Communications degrees. I haven't really looked for a actual job yet, but I've been working for Special Olympics Oregon for the past few weeks and helping with fundraising events. Mike (shortbus) got me to sign up for MTC and I've known Corey through Jackson and Kessler (booty) and I suffered through many accounting classes together over the past years. Sports and music are probably my two favorite things. I like basically all music but newer country, however I grew up on a variety of 50s, 60s and 70s music, so a lot of my favorites come from those eras. I like scrambled eggs, beer, diet mt. dew, coffee, cats, the color grey, records, guns, mini vans, taking pictures, my sister, my softball bat (named "black magic"), nerds, and other things. I play guitar and harmonica shittily and I like to paint pictures for people. And this is probably way more than anyone wanted to know about me, so I'm gonna stop now...

dont use Kim's name in vain, jaysix. And I agree with eric, she is rad.
Coming from you, that actually means a lot to me, strangely.

Yeah, next time I'm up there I'm gonna try to give you a call. I was with a group of people that I couldn't leave, so it probably would have been a pain in the ass anyways.

I'm Matt. I'm forum-phobic. I have no idea how I ended up at this site, but it seems cool so far.I've done way too many drugs. Every great once in a while, when no one else is around, I'll eat a potato chip sandwich.
I've been into records since I was a little kid. My first love was classic rock, such as The Stones or The Yardbirds. As a teen I listened to nothing but Hip Hop. I had over a 1,000 hip-hop 12 inches/EP's/LP's by the time I was 19 (quite a few that are out-of-print now, including Eminem's "Infinite" EP) but when I moved to San Francisco (by bus) I left them all with my sister. Two months later, she calles me and tells me she threw them all out, because it wasn't convinient for her to take them to her new apartment.
My sister is a cunt. Don't be afraid to tell her that.
I don't like to work; I'm all play. I probably hate your favorite band.
The end.

Welcome to the forum! If you collect music that much, then you probably know a little bit about music, so I can't wait to hear what you have to say about all my favorite bands that you hate. :P

David Bowie is actually pretty great, though. I just picked up "The Man who Sold the Wolrd" used on vinyl the other day. "Black Country Rock" is the shit.

and that should have said "Slim Shady" EP up there, not infinite. Not that it matters, but I'm sure there is someone here knowledgeable enough to correct me.

Yeah, singing that song to myself over and over made swim team practices a lot shorter last season. I had that album on repeat all the time.

My name's Meghan, I'm 15. I live in Sacramento. I'm of Irish and mixed (mostly white) ancestory. I'm a Jew. I go to Encina High School. I'm in a whole bunch of honors crap and stuff like that. It's blah. I have a lot of friends but sometimes I can't make time for them because I've got homework/my home life is hectic. Anyway, I'm considered a "loser" or "loner" or "weirdo" by lots of people but I don't care because I care about telling the truth. And that's part of the reason I want to be a writer: I want to tell the truth.
I want to go to school on the east coast, preferably near NYC. I might live there when I grow up or I might move to the UK.
I'm really into movies... I like romantic comedies and independent films (sometimes).
If people have looked at my profile they probably already know half of this stuff though. At least.
