I had an enlightened experience at a skate shop today while buying Krooked Kronicles. I have ignored the skateboarding films for too long now, and I often forget how much they have actually helped me. So today I decided to base a tape around them.
There is a something about music on skateboarding films, and that, unlike your average film, there is NO promise of the list of music in the credits. For me, it's usually a google death hunt of searching lyrics and asking around.
I tried my hardest to not repeat films and just pick music based off of how well it worked out in said film, leading to good music being cut. I also chose more recent films (I'm pretty sure nothing pre-1991).
