Escapism, as a theme, has been on my mind. I've been reading Nick Hornby's A Long Way Down and I just read where the fab four go on a small vacation to one of the Canary Isles. Getting away can have a spectrum of emotions, some of which are part of this mix.
The best part of movies, regarding escapism, is that you get a window into another life/world for a little while and it lingers with you. Music can provide that too. This is my ode to yelling, "E THCAU!" ("And Goodbye!") and getting a time-out from things for a bit. (even if it is for only an hour)
