This is probably the only type of mix that i would accept bright eyes and the decemberists on.. mainly because i have so much dislike for them they make me want to kill myself.
Normally i would never think of the shins as suicide music.. they have too much of a happy feeling to me, but i think youre right about those to come.. its a nice, mellow, 'going out' song.. something to listen to if you've found a slow, painless way to kill yourself.
bonus for the prekop/prewitt triplet there, though ive not heard much of either of their solo work, the sea and cake is one of my favorite bands.

I might disagree with that statement...I really, REALLY don't like a lot of indie rock...
Although, that GYBE song is one of my favorites. I'm not sure I agree with the "I think this might just be what it feels like to die" but to each their own, that is what this site is all about. The song is truly epic though.
