This is a mixtape of songs that gave me the chills the first time I heard them. In fact, most of them still get me all tingly. The reasons for such vary between songs, although I noticed a decent amount have a relationship dynamic to them. Maybe those feelings spewed forth more intensely from the artists, maybe its purely coincidence, or maybe I'm a big pussy and thats what hits me. Either way, these songs do the trick. There are others out there, but these are the ones that were currently on the mind...

This song will knock you out of your seat in one second. I would give anything to see them perform this in a small, dark room with a handfull of people. This song is very quiet and sparse - driven by the bass at first, but then at 3:21, his voice raises with "but i don't need a book. no..." and it gets fucking intense and then dies back out shortly. This is a great concept -- my best friend and I for years have had a category of songs known to us as "the-give-you-chills," but it's never occurred to me to compile them... very cool.
