I'm not so good at this music business.
I'm really just a photographer who got lost.

The Friday the 13th Badge I

Ah, middle school. How well I remember thee.
You worked along side puberty to transform me into an angsty little brat, and I thank you for that. Your restricting walls made me hate my parents, and your scheduled classes made me want to rebel against organized religion.
The relationships you harbored beneath your roof made me consider cutting myself. You create great complications in my friendships that made me blankly stare at walls and mumble for hours on end.
Cry and cry and cry.
Never bothering to get the hell over it.
I miss you middle school.
And what an em-o-scream-o bitch you made me.
Perhaps one day, you, me, and those bondage pants will meet up again and go back to thinking we are hard core.
I threw all my black t-shirts out.
But I will never throw away the memories.

Even the things that seem so simple in life... can become really complicated. It's hard to disregard the times when you've been through so much. Everyone has their difficulties, their yields in life... it just happens to be our turn.

The weather her is awful. It can't make up its mind. Just like some sassy lady. The weather here is a sassy lady. It is time for warm rains. And the sky keeps saying to me, "yea, I sure am gonna rain real soon." and it either doesn't bother to [which is called lying!], or it waits till I fall asleep. Sassy lady weather, you are too sneaky. And sassy.
So I put together this mixtape so I could perhaps perform a rather intricate rain dance. And maybe other people could help me. All you have to do is put this mixtape on and then dance however you please. Bring the rain you guys, bring the rain.

On most occasions I loathe mornings because I hate being woken up early by some irritating rhythmic beating on my ear drums. Not to mention having to walk around in a groggy state, I feel like I loose a lot of living when I start my day like that. Having to rush through my thoughts and not being able to rest and take a second to just breath.
But that's not what this mix is about, in fact, it is quite the contrary. This mix is about those rare days where I get to sleep in and wake up naturally. Lay in bed with my eyes half open and not have to worry about where I gotta be and what I gotta do. And hopefully one day I shall have one of those exact mornings but when I roll onto my side and open my I will see my hand resting on the chest of another. In that perfect morning, under those cool sheets and resting upon those soft pillows, the sun fails to seem so bright [by comparison].

I've been looking at this mix for awhile, but the autobiography game kind of inspired me to actually put it up.
At the beginning of this school year I became familiar with a foreign exchange student from New Zealand, named Harry. He had actually been going to our school for about six months in the year prior but we had never come into any sort of contact. But during our school musical we started talking and it kind of grew from there. What is so sad about this is that, I had the opportunity to know him for an entire year, but I had waited till the 5 month point before his departure. We started hanging out and I began to see another side of him, he was a really emotional writer, which threw me a bit because he was so outlandish on his exterior. Apart from writing plays [I happened to act in one, and now it is being taken to state] he wrote poetry and a bit of prose. He was a pretty fantastic guy, and he was always there for all his friends, no matter what it was they needed.
Then came the time of departure. I think a lot of us just imagined that he was going on a trip, and gonna come back in a few weeks. I don't think it hit anyone hard enough, except for Harry. I'm positive he cried a couple times. But, when I think about Harry, I can't really even think about crying. He's leaving, yes, but, I just have this feeling that he is gonna come back. But maybe that is because I know he won't loose contact.
A few days after he left I received a letter in the mail. It was from Harry. He wasn't even back to New Zealand yet, but he had written me a letter. Heh. He enclosed some pictures that he had taken, and seeing them kind of freaked me out. Once I saw a picture, that confirmed it that all these events were in the past, and were gonna stay that way.
So, this mix is for Harry. Thanks for everything guy, and maybe someday we shall bump into each other again.

This is just a little miniature mix that I put together to showcase that I had a very good year and I'm excited to begin a new one.
2006 was with out a doubt one of the best years of my life and the way things are fixed up now, 2007 can only get better for me.
I also had a really fantastic New Years. I got to be in our down town type area where all the new years action is happening on top of a roof! The streets were packed. And I was comfortably standing on a roof where I could see everything, sipping hot chocolate, and being with the love of my life. All I had to do was throw some confetti. Which was sweet cause we just dumped it on top of a bunch of people. Drunk people. Funny stuff. Then I had the most passionate new years kiss ever. You know, with fireworks blazing in the background and everyone in the street cheering and watching us, the cold air driven away for a few perfect moments. Mmmmmm. Good stuff I tell ya. It was actually my first new years I've actually spent with someone. Everything was just perfect. And I hope for many more.
I hope all you guys enjoyed yours and good luck in the new year.
