I agree, the first half of the mix sucks, I was listening to those bands when I was really young, and I have a strange kind of attachment to them because they bring back times and feelings from the "Anarchy! Punk Rock!" of my teenage years. Small, entirely personal, sometimes horrible reminders of the person I once was, and the people I once loved.
When I listen to these songs, they make me think of each of the people I have mentioned. They may not fit for you, but they make 100% sense to me.
