Something that not a whole lot of people know about me is that I go through months-long bouts of depression pretty regularly. Nothing in particular gets me down, but everything does. Over time Ive figured out ways to not think about it as much. Yes, music helps.
So this is for when you are feeling the general, everything sucks, whiney blues.

i was listening to a dusty bill withers 45 and decided to see which mixes used "ain't no sunshine". Well here I am and I see some other great songs here. great saddo music.
Have you ever heard rockabilly great's bobby wayne's version of "the blizzard"? I found it years ago when I inherited a bunch of 45's and I must say that after repeated listens, I understand what you mean about it being the saddest song ever (and I think bobby's version is the saddest for some reason).

A beautiful mix. =] I especially enjoyed it because there were a few favorites of mine like Famous Blue Raincoat and Cheers Darlin, but also a lot of songs I had not heard before.

Oh, Famous Blue Rain Coat, how many times have a cried over lost love to you? I've yet to have anything like that song happen to me, but I sure feel like it has after hearing it.
